1. Thesis Diary
In this year and a half journey, here I revisit all of the work done through the first phase of the thesis.
Last semester, I fleshed out my illustration style for the project and worked on giving my design decisions a reason to be. One of my constant feedbacks throughout the first semester of thesis development was to root my designs in a sense of place. To achieve this, I have done visual research through creating a collection of images of Puerto Rico from nature to architecture, I asked myself: what does Puerto Rico look like?
I also created an image bank, exploring what graphic design has looked like in Puerto Rico throughout history and who the important figures have been.
Throughout the summer, I identified areas where I could conduct more research and create connections within my subject matter.
